SubscriberIn any Design of Experiments (DOE), you make three lists for a Static DOE:
Response Variables: what you are going to measure that you might want to minimize or maximize or put on some target value. What is that in your case; maximize shear rate?
Control Variables: design choices that you can pick a value at will, such as the gap between the two cylinders, the cylinder diameter, the fluid viscosity.
Noise Variables: things that you can't control the value of, or choose not to due to cost, such as ambient temperature.
In a Dynamic DOE you name another item called a
Signal:Â an input quantity that is readily changed, which a Response Variable might have a functional relationship with the signal, such as Rotational Velocity.

Forum ModeratorYou'll need to recreate the part that needs parameters. This can be done by deleting & rebuilding that section or if you're creative with sketch-extrude and booleans.Â

Subscriber I missed that you wanted DesignModeler. Here is a video.

Subscriberis there any easy method to rebuild it from the imported file

SubscriberYou import it once, then create parameters in DesignModeler to change the geometry as desired. You can't automatically rebuild the model to a new IGES file.
ANSYS has direct CAD interface to software like SolidWorks, NX, Creo, Inventor, etc. but that is not included in the free Student license. You can design a parametric design in the CAD system, then ANSYS can import the geometry with the parameters, and automatically request a geometry update from the CAD system with new parameters and automatically solve that model.
