SubscriberI am simulation a flow over a porous square cylinder and I am interested in calculating the time average values for p and u over a period of time, also how can I draw time-averaged pressure and velocity contours?

Ansys Employeeplease create custom field function for variable you want.Â
use data sampling for time average values.Â
following links may help you.Â

Keyur Kanade
Ansys Employeesampling interval is the interval where variable values will be taken into sampling considerations.Â
please check the help manual for more details.Â

Subscriberif I want to average from 100s to 200 sec should I set the sampling interval to 100 sec?
Â
I have tried sampling interval 1 but the average was equal to the last time step result
it is not clear for me how to set a value for it even after checking fluent tutorialsÂ

Ansys Employeesampling interval is at what time step you want to take sample.Â
i recommend you to go through help as mentioned above.Â
