Hello all,
I'm still new with overset and UDFs, I was wondering if there is a way to implement a more advanced interpolation scheme, other than the 2 available options (inverse distance & least square) using UDFs or any other way?.Â
thanks a lot and looking forwards to your reply.

Possibly, but that will involve a lot of coding for potentially very little gain. As we're only able to offer limited UDF support (pretty much what's in the manual) I can't really comment further.Â
Maybe start by explaining what's wrong with the built in options, and why you want another approach?

As I'm simulating a shock-wave around an object using overset mesh, the accuracy of the interpolation scheme greatly affect the results and the schemes currently available in ansys have low accuracy as per many papers such as the one by Dominic D.J. Chandar, On overset interpolation strategies or Study of interpolation methods for high-accuracy computations on overlapping grids by Jeremie Chicheportiche & Xavier Gloerfelt and some other papers.Â
Also my Academic supervisor would like to get in touch regarding this issue, so is it possible and if so, then how can he do so?
thanks.

If you move the data transfer cells away from the object to avoid the gradients it should be less of an issue?Â
If your supervisor talks to the Ansys contact on your side they should have a name/contact within Ansys. I can't be much more precise as it'll depend on where you are. Alternatively, the "Contact us" form on ansys.com should get you somewhere.Â
