SubscriberHello
I am working on a project and need a inflation layer.
Â
In the picture you can see the problem I am trying to solve. It is a pipe, which opens in to a space. I am trying to create a inflation layer aroud the corner. For different corners in my project the inflation layer is is created nicly arpund the corner. For some reason I can not create the infaltion in this area.
Does anyone have an idea what I could do?
Kind regards
Steven Timoney

SubscriberHello Steven,
I have inserted the image you attached above to this post because ANSYS employees on this site are not permitted to open attachments. Please use the Insert Image button on the toolbar on your posts.
Is this a 2D mesh?
I would try to slice the fluid body at the intersection and put the bodies into a multi-body part, then the inflation layer might not feather out.
Kind regards,

SubscriberHello Peter,
Thank you for your reply and thanks for the advice for the pictures.
It is a 3D-Mesh.
I tried slicing the fluid body at the intersection and put them into a multi- body part. Unfortunately, the mesh didn’t go around the corner. So, I united the two slices using the Boolean command.
Now the Mesh is the way I need it.
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards
