SubscriberHello,
I can't export my mesh file except .MSH format. It is weird. When I try to export it into CGNS format, it gives me a message below:
The mesh file exporter failed during translation. Please send your data to your support provider.
Is there any idea to overcome this issue?

Forum ModeratorWhat are you exporting from? The Student & Teaching licences are identical to the Commercial ones other than not being able to deal with large models.Â
Please can you also try with a simple model, eg a cube with 2-3000 cells in case your real model is too big?Â

SubscriberThank you for your response.
I'm trying export it from ANSYS Mesh. It is not large model. A simple foil which has only 1638 nodes.
I have just tried to export a simple cube with 125 cells to CGNS format. But program says "The mesh file exporter failed during translation. Please send your data to your support provider."
Actually all I want to have an STL or CGNS file. ANSYS SpaceClaim has STL eport capability. It is absurd that ANSYS Meshing can't simply export it.

Ansys Employee Workaround if your mesh is 3D. Connect it to Fluent. In Fluent using the Adjoint capability you can export it then to STL format. Other way is via CFD-Post
