SubscriberWhat's the difference between Mechanical APDL and Workbench Mechanical?Â
Â
Is it the same? or is there any difference in terms of accuracy?Â

Ansys EmployeeBy accuracy, if you mean solver, then they are the same. Both MAPDL and WB Mechanical, use the same solver.Â

SubscriberThank you for the reply @rgpatchi.Â
So in that case there should be absolutely no difference if I use the same case to simulate in WB Mechanical and MAPDL?

Ansys EmployeeThat is correct. Perhaps you could explain further the issue you are facing, and we can help accordingly (observing some difference?)

SubscriberThank you @rgpatchi. I've being using WB for a while, so I just wanted to know if there's any difference in WB and MAPDL.
Â
I read on a article which compares WB and MAPDL. It mentioned the following,Â
"Although workbench allows us to check the quality of mesh, it ignores bad meshes to continue giving results. This results in poor quality of results. But APDL will not proceed to the results if the mesh is inappropriate. Thus APDL assures meshing quality."
Â
Is this true?
