Gap results in structural model

A bolted flange model has three components of forces acting on it-thermal,bolt tension and pressure force which are applied in a sequential manner(step loading).

With a model mesh of 26072 nodes and 4227 elements I am getting a completely different result for flange gaps at t=3.With reverse rainbow colour band I find that the bolt clamp force which should be localised circumferentially so as to prevent formation of considerable gap at the sealant groove for its effectiveness, extends upto the nozzle inner dia.Unimaginable.The sequence of load steps followed are application of fixed support, bolt pretensioning, pressure, regen. force and lastly thermal state. Unable to make out what went wrong:

It doesn't look like the Regen Forces are doing anything to open the gap. Please show screen snapshots of those forces. You can also attach your Project Archive .wbpz file to your reply.

Rizwan, the archive you attached has no entries under Static Structural. This is the initial model, not the model you show above.

      Rizwan,

In the figures below, I used the Explode toolbar to separate the parts.

The Lower Regen Force is on the correct face...

But the Mid Regen Force is on the wrong part. It should be on the face at the top of the image.

Below, I have selected the correct face to scope the force to.
