Do you want to model a SDOF system with Dyna? In that case, I’d turn to a single Hughes-Liu Beam element (type 1) and modify my properties to match it up with the stiffness of the spring and place the proper boundary condition.

With the mass, stiffness, and damping parameters now known, you’re all set to conduct your study as you’d like.
