Dear All,
I usually run RANS kwSST simulations for aerodynamic simulations of road vehicles with cell counts of around 50-80 million.
I now plan on running some IDDES simulations which use the RANS simulation as initialisation. Therefore once the IDDES simulation is complete I then want Fluent to have written a new .data file for me that has the time-averaged values for all my variables like velocity, pressure, shear stress etc. like it does for the RANS. The issue is I only know how to write a data file for the last time step or any individual timestep, but I do not know how to have it so the data file is like a running average of all the timesteps in the IDDES simulation. Can you please help?
Kind regards,
Michael.

Hello Michael,
you can do this in Fluent from the Solution tab > Run Calculation > Data Sampling for Time Statistics.
You can read on the options here: 48.16. Run Calculation Task Page (ansys.com)
