changing mesh gives total different results

      My problem involves heating an object in an oven (190°C). When changing the mesh element size, the average temperature of the object changes over a wide range (almost 20°C after the same heating time). Because all the other factors were kept equal, this (relatively) huge variation does not seem right to me. A more precise example: if I change the mesh element size from 0.015 to 0.012 (number of elements: 60051 -> 103371), this results in a temperature change of 6°C. 

      While modelling other problems, the temperature only changed a few decimals. Consequently, I am worried that this difference can't be right.

      Can you think of any possible mistake I could have made that could have caused this?

      Hi,

      Change in temperature due to a variation in mesh element size could be due to the numerical stability. You can try perform grid independent study so that results will be independent of mesh.
