Hi all.
I need APDL code for a snippet in static analysis.
My task is to calculate the elastic band. Step 1 is applying pressure and pressing it to the top shelf. Step 2 is applying pressure to the right and compressing the elastic to the left, but at the same time it should grab the part (highlighted in yellow) to which it is attached. This must be done without contact. At the first step, the part (highlighted in yellow) is fixed using the APDL command “D”. In the second step, I turn off this command and apply pressure, the part should crawl behind the elastic band to the left.
Please tell me this fastening command for the second step. Thank you.

Hi,
Why do you want to avoid contact? Define a bonded contact in the first step and then you can deactivate the same in the second step.

Contact doesn't suit me.
Look. I have rubber between two plates 1 and 2.
1.In the first step, the rubber is pulled to the left and all three parts (1 and 2 and the rubber are fixed), the bonded contact connects the rubber by the plane (highlighted in red).
2.In the second step, I need to remove the fixation from these three parts, and then the rubber will begin to move to the left, but at the same time it should pull plates 1 and 2 with it. When the rubber is stretched in the first step, it will become flat and the bonded contact will be lost (highlighted red).
So I need to find a way so that in the second step, when the fixation on the rubber and plates is removed, the rubber will drag the plates with it.
