I want to simulate the cantilever beam with an added sitting at a location on the beam and find out modes of vibration. Is Point Mass the right function that I should use for this? If so, how do I place it at the specific location I want?

Hi

You can split the beam faces (say top face) as needed in Spaceclaim, and then scope the point mass to a specific location/area.

Added sitting (not sure what it means), but I will assume it is something adding mass (not stiffness) to the the structure, then it can be represented as a point mass scope as we said to a face.
