My English is bad...
Anyway, i know that k-epsilon and k-omega methods are used in RANS(steady-turbulent analysis)
k-epsilon and k-omega are used for turbulent viscocity
Then, in transient-turbulent analysis, What function do they perform?(k-epsilon and k-omega)
In transient-turbulent analysis, there are no turbulent viscocity...
Thanks read my question :)

Hello,
The k-epsilon and k-omega models play a critical role in predicting the evolution of turbulence. These equations provide information about how turbulence quantities change due to turbulence production, dissipation, and transport. In tranient simulations also turbulent viscosity is calculated based on the these turbulence model equations. Many terms like these are critical in capturing the turbulent fluctuations and their impact on the mean flow. The turbulence behaviour is calculated after every time step.
Basically we need to capture how turbulence evolves over time and therefore these equations are used.
I hope this helps.
Thanks.-

Hello my teacher.
I have another question about my previous question.
In transient-turbulent analysis, i choose k-omega or k-epsilon option.
Then, this method is unsteady RANS?
Thanks read my equestion.

Hello,
Yes, in transient-turbulent analysis k-omega/k-epsilon is unsteady RANS method.
Thanks.
