Difference between rmexport and maxwell 2d

      Good evening Ansys team. As you will see in the first picture, I set rated output power 4000Watt, the results from RmXport show that I have input power 4182.4 W and output power 4000.8 W. But when I go to run it in Maxwell 2D the results differ as you will see showing electrical power (input power) 5238.2W and mechanical power 5048.4W . Which is correct and why is this difference of these two? I am confused in the end with what is the rated power of the motor because I defined a rated power of 4KW in the beggining .

      Hello, RMxprt solvers are based on magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) analysis. For some PM machines, the q-axis armature reaction MMF will cause very complicated field distribution which is difficult to be analyzed by MEC. Therefore, RMxprt solvers takes into account the saturation caused by PMs, but not consider the effects of the armature current reaction on field saturation. This approximation will not cause significant errors in performance analysis for most PM machine designs.
