SubscriberTo whom it may concern,
I used to run simulations on SMP single, and it's working well. However, there are some new tasks that I have to run a complex model with more than 100k elements which I think SMP single is computing too long.Â
After I changed to MPP single (I did downloadthe solver), I went up here and see that I have to point the MPI first, which I did.
The LS-DYNA command I use to run Intel MPI is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\IntelSWTools\mpi\2019.10.321\intel64\bin\mpiexec.exe" -np 20 "C:\LSDYNA\program\ls-dyna_mpp_s_R14.0_515-g8a12796b62_winx64_ifort190_impi2019\ls-dyna_mpp_s_R14.0_515-g8a12796b62_winx64_ifort190_impi2019.exe" i=C:\Users\talke_579wcjd\OneDrive\Desktop\gyroid try\try 18\gyroid.k memory=20m
However, I got an error like this: The code execution cannot proceed because impi.dll was not found.Reinstalling this program might fix this problem.
I reinstalled this program and also installed ''Ansys Lumerical Suite'' to acquire the impi.dll file, but the error still exsits.
Do you know how to solve the problem?

Ansys EmployeeHi JackieÂ
As you are calling impi ( Intel MPI) type, make sure you have proper library installed from the following linkÂ
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/mpi-library.html
Alternately, you can use the MSMPI ( which should work) here,Â
Also use proper preset than the simple MPP type.Â
Cheers, RamÂ

SubscriberHi Ram,
Thank you for the reply.
If I am going to use MSMPI, is it already installed on the computer?Â
I was using single SMP as my preset before, however, it takes more than 100 days to finish the simulation, that's why I am thinking of trying out single MPP as preset. Do you know if there is any method to help speed up the simulation other than changing the preset? (I already adjusted the NCPU and MEMORY settings)
Best, Jackie
