Hi,

 

Is there a way to get the force vector, for example along z direction, pointwise? I have a surface and i want to know the force variation along one direction (z), so with the expression Air.force_z() i get the mean value computed over the entire surface. How can i get distribution of Air.force_z() along a polyline? many thanks

Hi,

 

In CFD post you can find Force vectors in each direction under Variables tab as shown in the image below. You can create a new expression using this variable as per requirement.

Thank you, i can see these variables, but when i want to plot in Chart i can't find them. Furthremore if i click on the variables the values is : unknown. Is there an equivalent expression in order to do operation with those forces ?

You will first have to create an expression and then variable from it. This new variable will then be available in the chart. Please check the user manaul to learn how to create expression and variable.

Please note, you can do the same in Fluent solver as well.

Yes, this is what i did. But nothing appears in the chart, now i can see the variable but not its value, in fact it say unknown for min e max values. How can i do in order to obtain such variables?
