When performing simulations I get the two errors "An error has occured while solving. Review the physcs setup and check gemetry for small faes, overlaps, etc." and "Fluid-flow results will notbe shown during solve for LiveGX". How can identify where my physics setup is wrong specfically and how can I get the results to be shown live? Any advice helps. Thank you so much in advance!

You may have some small/sliver faces or interference where faces touch, so use the clean up tools to check.Â

Hi Rob,
Unfortuntatly that was not able to work for my situation. To clarify on the cleaning tools, all of those tools can be found in the repair tab. The geometry I am trying to simulate is a flow through a pipe that is projectng water vapor onto a disk. I am looking to identify the velocity contour on the disk and when the fluid hits at. Thank you so much for your help through this process. It is greatly appreciated.Â

Hello Matthew,Â
Can you please try changing the veocity outlet to pressure outlet of 0 Pa (1 atm abs pressure) and see if that helps for this setup?Â

Hi Devendra,
Thank you so much for the information. I am running into another problem now though. Were there are reported to be overlapping faces. Could this be due to the enclosure created using the volume extract tool to identify the surface of the fluid input in the tube and output on the other side of the enclosure. How might I be able to solve this. Thank you so much for your time and support, it is greatly appreciated.Â

Hello Matthew,Â
It looks like you have included all the bodies in Simulations and some of them seem to be overlapping on each other. Try exluding the bodies from simulation which you do not want.Â
If you see the SID at the bottom centre it shows Conjuagte heat transfer study and not fluids simualtion. Keep only external fluids domain and exclude other bodies to perform external flow simualtion over the disk.Â
Please go through this courses on Fluid Flow Simulation in Ansys Discovery | Ansys Courses & CHT Analysis in Ansys Discovery | Ansys Courses
for better understanding on how to perform simulations in Ansys Disocvery.Â
