SubscriberHello.
I have a problem with Ansus fluent 19.2, when mesh is rendered on right screen and I click on that view (not only on mesh, but also on empty space) program just crashes with no reason. All other functionallity works in Tree, Task Page etc.. I would add that zooming with mouse scroll works.
Is there any solution to fix this or my mesh is just broken?
Â
Thanks for answers and help.

Forum ModeratorIt's unlikely to be the mesh and is more likely to be graphics related. Can you check to see if it's a supported graphics card?  https://www.ansys.com/en-gb/solutions/solutions-by-role/it-professionals/platform-support
I suggest updating drivers and try changing the graphics options in Fluent (Viewing -> Options) as that may help.Â

Subscriber Good evening,
I am having the same problem and am hoping that you can provide more ideas on how to solve it. I checked and my graphics card is supported and my drivers are up to date. Furthermore, I tried changing the graphics options in Fluent and changing them had no effect. The problem happens when running Fluent in meshing mode in either serial or parallel mode. Whenever I have mesh shown on the right side of the screen and I hover over a zone name in either the workflow or tree tabs on the left side of the screen, the program simply closes down.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Forum ModeratorWhich version? I've not seen or heard any other cases of this: is there an error posted anywhere?

SubscriberGood morning,
I am using version 19.2. No errors are displayed-the program simply closes. I have been having this trouble since downloading Fluent a few weeks ago. Do you have any ideas regarding what I can try to fix this error? It is making it so that I cannot complete any work.

Forum ModeratorThere is one graphics setting, and you need to use the NVidia option to force NVidia to recognise Fluent other wise the PC can revert to the Intel settings.Â

SubscriberGood morning,
By chance do you know how I access this graphics setting? Is it within Fluent?
Thank you so much for your help!

Ansys EmployeeCheck if that display is using Nvidia or not.
You can do this by opening CMD Prompt, then type dxdiag
Then check on Display # tab
Also, if it crashes like this, there might be some info in Windows Event Viewer. Launch this and look for Application Error events and see if there is ANSYS listed there.
To set to use Nvidia card, try steps here
https://support.serato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202305784-Changing-graphics-card-settings-to-use-your-dedicated-GPU-on-a-Windows-computer-
Note that some Nvidia cards don't really support multiple monitors
Thanks,
Win

Forum ModeratorCan you check the drivers are up to date? Does everything else work as expected (eg geometry & mesh)?Â
