global erosion in control (autodyn)

  Hello,
  I have a question, what is exactly global erosion? I mean, if I sat erosion type and value for a material like concrete with 0.1, and sat global erosion as 0.05. both are geometric strain erosion type. does global erosion overrides the erosion sat in the material?
