SubscriberHello, sorry for my English, it is not very good.
I have to model a reinforced concrete beam in pure bending to compare the results with a real test of a beam of the same material. The data I have about the material are the Youngs modulus, the Poisson ratio, the stress-strain curve in compression of the concrete, f'c. I entered all this data thinking that it was enough to simulate the failure of the test and the deformation obtained when applying the corresponding loads, but I have not obtained results similar to the test. My question is why if I enter the value of the tensile ultimate strength, the model does not generate flexural failures when exceeding this value in normal stresses. I would be very grateful if you help me solve this problem, because this work is related to my thesis.Â
