SubscriberHelloI want to simulate a flood case for an hour, I mean, when the simulation ends, the final result should represent the flood status after one 1 hour of flood. For this, I set the number of time steps to 3600 and the time step size is 1. However, the simulation didn't converge, so I reduced the time step size to 0.01, and, accordingly, I changed the number of time steps to 360000. Is this correct? -

Essence
Ansys EmployeeHello,
If the simulation does not converge, please reduce the time step size more. But let me inform you. Non-convergence of the solution depends on other factors like mesh and case setup also.

Forum ModeratorYes, solution duration (model time) is time step size x number of time steps. As Essence comments you also need to converge each time step.
