Hello everyone.Â
I have some doubt about the implementation of latent heat of evolving volatiles in a combusting particle in ANSYS Fluent 2023 R2. From the manual, you can see that:
And for a combusting particle it says that it is the heat required for the evolution of volatiles - Eq. 12-139. which is below:
But actually, there is no latent heat included in this particular equation. I am asking, because in the same energy equation for particle evaporation, latent heat is included in that equation. So for a combusting particle, is this latent heat a heat of pyrolysis?
Â
Let me know what you think

Hi Jacobian,
Â
The left side term in the heat transfer equation i.e heat transfer due to change in enthalpy will take care of the latent heat term.
