SubscriberHi guys, I'm trying to figure out the optimum parameters to induce the highest voltage in a coil. I used a hollow-type polygonal core with 12 sides and another hollow-type polygonal cylinder around it as the coil. Can someone tell me how I can change the diameter of the coil please? Is changing the thickness of the hollow coil sufficient?Â

Ansys EmployeeHi, yes, thickness&size of the coil and/or number of coil turns can change the diameter of the coil.

SubscriberHow does the number of turns change the diameter of the coil? Is there a formula to calculate it?

Ansys Employeenumber of turns is defined in coil terminal when winding excitation is assigned.
