August 31, 2023 at 2:39 pmAmir SubscriberHello everyone, there is a solid pipe underground and fluid passes through it, it is going to be EWF. I have two questions: 1-Is it necessary to include the pipe in geometry? or I can set its material and thickness when setting up boundary conditions in fluent? 2-If I want to include it in the geometry, which options in design modeler should I use? Normally I would use sweep with thin surface for the pipe and fill it with fluid, but I am having trouble getting rid of excessive interpenetrating parts. Thanks

September 1, 2023 at 4:12 amKeyur Kanade Ansys EmployeeIf you want to simulate only Fluid then you need only fluid volume. Please extract the fluid volume and then mesh only fluid volume. If you want to do conjugate heat transfer using solid and fluid then you will need solid and fluid volume to be meshed. Please go through help manual for more details Regards, Keyur How to access Ansys Online Help Document Guidelines on the Student Community Fluids Engineering Courses | Ansys Innovation Courses
