Internal Short ckt modeling for Li-ion battery using Newman P2D model

I am able to do a normal discharge simulation(3-Crate) and match with my experiment data. But, when I use the same cell parameters to do a Internal short ckt, the simulation shows error. patched resistance used is 1.25e-9. Attached link to the model.

Hi, we cannot access any links as part of the Ansys Policy. Can you share screenshots of the Battery modeling settings?

        hey Murari,

        Any Success?

Hi Nitesh, how did you patch the short resistance? It should be a small region. Start with large short resistance value first and run it. See the effect and then lower it if it is needed.

How can I improve? Or, what can be the problem. Any suggestions? Why the solver blows up at lower resistances even though i used small time step.

Yeah, i already tried it. I started with 500 mohm in a volume of 5x5x5mm. But I am not able to run at 70mohm and I need it to run at that value.
