Using the Mechanical Object Generator to save time on repetitive tasks

Some models have a large number of connections between identical types of entities. The connection might be a Fixed Joint or a Contact Definition.

There are tools to rapidly create a large number of connections by using a combination of Named Selections, using the Size checkmark and the Object Generator to make copies of a connection over all the items in a named selection.

This video give one example from this Discussion about making a model of a timber frame wall that uses beams to simulate nails connecting wooden parts. One end of the beams are connected to the shell elements using Shared Topology, but the other end of the beam needs a fixed joint to connect it to the faces of solid elements. The problem is that there are 20 nails that have to be connected.
