SubscriberHi. I am a complete beginner at Ansys. I want to fill a solid square with hollow spheres. The patterning doesn't work here. I even tried doing each hollow sphere manually(Primitive->Sphere->Cut Material), but that doesn't work. What would be the effective approach to fill a solid square with hollow spheres?

Ansys EmployeeCreate sphere. Do not use cut material option. Please use frozen option. Then use pattern operation. Then use boolean operation of subtract. Please make sure that you do not have tangential contact or point contact between any 2 spheres. This may lead to failure of boolean operations. You can also try SpaceClaim for geometry operations.Â
Please go through help manual for more detailsÂ
