SubscriberHi, I am ussing maxwell 3D design tool to study a DC machine. I looked that in each rotor slot there are the coils only, but the conductors within each coil are not displayed. Could someone help me with this? I want to see the conductors. Thanks. -

Ansys EmployeeHello Miguel,
In maxwell we dont explicitly model the individuals turns inside a coil, but model the equivalent area of the coil. The individual coils are modelled only in situation where the size of each turn is > the skin depth depth such that the current distrubution in the coil is non uniform. The seperated coils has to be modelled in Maxwell sperately.
