SubscriberIs there anyone simulating Litz wire in Maxwell? Should I choose "solid" or "stranded" winding type?
I chose stranded type and assigned litz wire material for the winding. The simulated winding loss is 2-6W larger than calculation although the current densities are the same between calculation and simulation. Can anyone tell me the reason of this difference?

Ansys EmployeeHello Nguyen,
To use Litz wire model, we should select "stranded". Maxwell will use flux density to perform post-processing for AC losses calculation of Litz wire too, so total Litz wire loss would include DC and AC losses.
