I intend to carry out comparison on corrosion and wear bewteen two materials. I want to know what parameters I need. Also which module do I use to perform the simulations.
The types of corrosion to be simulated are Pitting, Stress-cracking, Intergranullar. The wear mechanism is abrasive wear. What are the necessary parameters to perform the simualtions. I will appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Can you try searching the web for the following keywords: corrosion modeling in Ansys?
You may find some videos using Fluent relevant to your needs.

I would check both Fluids and Mechanical tools. Both stress cracking and abrasive wear are more mechanical processes.
Fluent 23R2 has a corrosion tool that will model corrosion that arises from electron transfer (rusting etc ..) This has some built-in chemistry models for water chemistry in acid, CO2, H2S and mixed environments. The focus is on the details of the electrochemistry and movement of chemical species.
Best Regards,
Judy
