SubscriberIs the above possible? It works fine with beam elements made in Ansys but links appear to cause an issue.
Links are preferred for their ability act in tension or compression for this case.

Unfortunately I've been through many of them (except the German video) and although I've had success with beams and solid elements with the Ansys Finite Element Modeler and External Model, link elements remain problematic.
I've attached a adpl .db in case you are willing to give it a go.

Ansys EmployeeThe ANSYS Release 19.1 program's External Model feature can now import a Mechanical APDL cdb file including support of LINK180 elements.
