Hi,
I have been unable to import any geometry when trying to use Ansys Mesher. I import the CAD file and get the error message below, and no geometry appears on screen. I've tried using many different file types, and ran the CAD configuration manager but none of this has helped. I've run out of things to try from the internet so any other things to try would be much appreciated!
Error: Error in CAD Import
Error Object: #f
Error: Error occurred during import.

Hello,
Is your geometry clean? Make sure it does not have any clearances or gaps. If there are faults in the geometry, I would suggest you to use Fault-tolerant meshing.

I've tried a couple of different ones, even a basic square, and still get the issue, so feel like it's not the geometry itself causing the problem. I can't think of anything else to change in the program though.
For more context I'm using a Pro license and am creating the geometry in ironCAD. I can't use the Ansys CAD tools because of licensing issues.

Hello,
For Fluent meshing, supported file types are SpaceClaim (
.scdoc
), Discovery (.dsco
), and Workbench (.agdb
) files and also.pmdb
files for Ansys CAD. It also supports other CAD software. Could you please mention which other CAD software you used?
