SubscriberHello I have a problem with solving transient thermal solution. I’m using Ansys Student 2023 R1 Workbench.
Transient thermal solution does not finish with larger number of substeps (about 700 substeps) but model isn’t that large (about 50 000 nodes). However it works with less substeps.
An message pops up:
“An unknown error occurred during solution. Check the Solver Output on the Solution Information object for possible causes.”
But there is no errors in solve.out file.
Solver stops when evaluates result files. In Solution Information: Temperature -Global Maximum it looks like it’s finished:
I tried to Evaluate All Results manually but 2 errors messages pops up:
“The result file C:\Users\...\dp0\SYS\MECH\file;rth cannot be opened.”
“Current result file may not contain requested result data C:\Users\...\dp0\SYS\MECH\file;rth. Please clear the solution and solve again.”
I cleared solution and solved again but it didn’t helped
Do anybody can help me to solve this problem?

SubscriberHi,
I thought I solved the problem by clearing the folder: C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Ansys but problem occured again and again after clear.
The real cause of the problem was low disc space. While the program is evaluating the results it needs more data space. Clearing Roaming only temporarily solve the problem because it freed up more disk space.
Thanks for help.
