Hi,
I'm a Lumerical FDTD user. We want to import a structure for our simulation. I see there're two options for the format, GDSII or STL, but what we have is txt. file. Is there a way to import a txt. file as a structure to Lumerical? or is there a quick way to convert txt. to STL or GDSII? Any recommendation is appriciated!
Thanks,
Tianyu

Hi,Â
The preferred data format is in Matlab. Matlab preserves the original data and unit.Â
Since your file is in .txt, you can try using combination of readdata – Script command – Ansys Optics and addpoly – Script command – Ansys Optics to import the geometry in FDTD.Â
Thanks
