Hi,
I am using AUTOMATIC_SINGLE_SURFACE_TIEBREAK contact between two layer. I need find the elements for which the contact is broken.
Is there any fringe plot for visualizing the area of contact breakage or any other way for finding out the area over which the contact has been broken. If anybody has any idea then please share it with me.
Thanking you

Dear Andreas,
I am using ONE_WAY_SURFACE_TO_SURFACE_TIEBREAK, is there any way to visualize the extent of tiebreak like finge plots of stresses and history variables.
Thanking you

Yes by using *DATABASE_BINARY_INTFOR as shown in the manual snippet above. You will need to set SAPR=SBPR=1 on the *CONTACT card 1. The intfor database is opened in LSPP in the same manner as the d3plot.Â

Hello Pratik,
You need to include *DATABASE_BINARY_INTFOR_FILE in the input and specify the intfor output time step and the intfor file name (typically we use "intfor" as the file). In addition, you need to SAPR=SBPR=1 on the *CONTACT card 1 to trigger the intfor output for that contact. The analysis will generate intfor, intfor01, intfor02 , etc files. Drag and drop the first one, named "intfor", into the LSPP GUI or open it through File > Open > LS-DYNA Binary Plot.
