How to get absorption in RCWA solver? I want to do parameter optimization by varying different parameters for absorption. Can you please suggest how to do it?Â

But Rp and Rs are the reflections corresponding to p-polarized and s-polarized light. But I want to calculate absorption. One way to calculate is (1-Rp-Tp). But is it possible to calculate through the volume integration over the region (the way we do in FDTD)?Â

You are right that currently you can use (1-Rp-Tp).
Please note that the volume integration method is less accurate since it involves more data calculation. If you are not calcualting the spatial-absorption distribution, using (1-Rp-Tp) should be sufificient.
Improvement for RCWA outputs is under the way.
