June 20, 2023 at 10:00 amAlberto SubscriberHi, Â I've performed a transient simulation of a flow over a propeller. I've estimated the angular velocity, by dividing the tangential velocity in output with the radius (Y-coordinate), but it results one order of magnitude less with respect experimental data, the simulation is 1 dof (rotation along z) and the fluid velocity is set to 1.1 m/s. It is possible due to material density which is set as constant while in real it is not ? I reach convergence during the entire simulation and no error occurs, so it sound strange. Simulation is running in order to reach the steady state.

(5) How to Model Transient Flows in Ansys Fluent — Lesson 1 - YouTube (5) Tutorial — Transient Flow Modeling in Ansys Fluent — Lesson 2 - YouTube I hope this helps you to perform transient analysis. Thanks, Chaitanya Natraj
