SubscriberHi,
I have a .msh file I want to edit in Ansys Fluent, When I start a fluent system, then right click on mesh and import the .msh file, there's no option to edit it. How do I edit the file in the mesher?
Â
Thanks

SubscriberHi,
you can refine and adapt a .msh file on Fluent (solution) but you can’t edit it per say.

SubscriberHi Reaf,
What file type is needed to be able to import a mesh and be able to edit it?
Thanks

SubscriberUnfortunately, you cannot edit the .msh file in Fluent. As Raef mentioned, you can refine and adapt the .msh file but not edit it. If you want to edit your .msh file, you can import the .msh file in ICEM-CFD and then make changes to it. And, as far as I know, that's the only way to do it.

Subscriberyou can save a file from Workbench to edit it later in the meshing tool within Workbench.
Cheers

Subscriber You can export and save the Mesh file in .meshdat format from Workbench Mesher, and then you can edit it later and thereafter save it in whichever available format you want.

SubscriberHi,
I am saving a POLYHAEDRAL mesh in Fluent.
Is there anyway of opening the mesh file and derive in clear all the mesh entities, like:
node coordinates
face nodes
face normals
polyhaedral faces
