Error 80004005 if (report Preview Pane.Pane.Selected)

  I have been working on simulation and everything was ok. Suddenly, when starting Mechanical I have got Error 80004005 if (report Preview Pane.Pane.Selected). I have tried to create the new project and reinstall the software, but it did not help. Does anyone knoe how to resolve it?

  1. Close all Ansys applications on your machine.
  2. Open My Computer or Run
  3. In the address bar > type %appdata% and hit enter > Rename the folder Ansys to Ansys.bak
  4. Launch Workbench again (a new Ansys folder will get created in %appdata%).

  Hi. I have found anoher solution to this error. I have renamed all the folders in AppData adding "_old" in the end and it worked.
