SubscriberI am using FLUENT in ANSYS 2020R2 in HPC. I provide the case and data files named ABC.cas and ABC.dat. After the simulation is complete, the data files at different time-steps are generated in the format XYZ.gz-1500.dat.h5 where 1500 is time-step. When I read these files in CFD-Post, the error come: "Unable to determine corresponding case file" even though I provide the case file first. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Forum ModeratorHello,
Kindly check if the case file and data files are all in the same directory. Could you try renaming the files and make sure there are no spaces or special characters?

SubscriberI tried by renaming the files. Still not working. CFD Post is able to read .cas.h5 file but not .dat.h5 files. Any solution?

Forum ModeratorI don't think it's supposed to read .cas.h5 either. If you open the files in Fluent you can resave as .cas.gz, ie classic format or .cdat that may be more efficient in terms of disc space.Â

SubscriberIs there a way so that the results from the HPC are written in .cas and .dat files readable in CFD-Post? The reading in FLUENT and then converting the .h5 files is a tedious process. I have tried Ensight also but CFD-Post is more user friendly I think and I am more comfortable with it.
