Slicing an impeller into a sector

      Hello Community,

I am using Design Modeller and I often work with impeller models with straight blades  in .STL formats. For FEA, I usually slice the models by first creating Planes in XYPlane and then slicing the model into a sector model. Since these planes are in cartesian so they are orthogonal to each other.

Recently I started with models having curved blades for which a quadrant sector model is not sufficient to capture the blade curve. Is there any other way to slice the whole symmetric model into a sector of the impeller with a curved blade ?

      Thank you in advance.

      best regards,

      Saad

Yes, you may need to be alittle more creative with the slice surfaces (note surface not plane).
