Fluid Surface(Walls) Acts As Deforming Or Not Inside Fluent?

      Hello altruists,
              I wanted to know that when I run Fluent by activating Dynamic Mesh option ( Remeshing and Smoothing) it runs fine but are the results I get influenced in any way by the surface actually deforming inside Fluent only( no System coupling or Data transfer to Ansys mechanical involved) ? Or is it that if I don't do coupling with any module or no force given to it from outside on the walls then the Dynamic Mesh option is ignored/ turned off by default?

      Hello Ahmed, 

      if you want solids/walls to deform under the influence of loads you will need to set up system coupling with Mechanical.

      Thank you for the co-operation. I do know that. My question was not about "how" but what happens if I do the above mentioned operation?In my particular case I don't want any "solid"  walls to deform but just the case where the fluid volume walls deform . Are they deforming when the solver is running ( as just Fluent with no coupling ) as they should since I chose and assigned the "walls" Boundary as having "Dynamic Mesh" with the forces on it from the internal fluid volume( just inside the "walls" surface. So just like a tube it should bulge when fluid is flowing through it. However is that happening and I cannot see it? Or does Dynamic Mesh does not work in this case and ignored when solving?

        You could have mesh motion normal to the boundary by selecting unspecified in the Geometry definition tab of the wall dynamic mesh zone. This option is only available if the linearly elastic solid mesh smoothing method or the radial basis function smoothing method is enabled.

        However, I would still recommend that you either couple your Fluent simulation with Mechanical or set up an intrinsic Fluid-Structure Interaction within Fluent if your deformation is small and remains in the elastic regime.

      Hello Federico, thank you so much for the help. I did not find any change in the deformation of the walls using the above mentioned advice. However I have a query regarding this. Is the condition that only "smoothing" with the above mentioned settings are turned on and "remeshing" and "layering" turned off. Or is that not necessary and all three can remaing " on" at the same time?

      Secondly I cannot access the given link for some reason. Could you please provide me the screenshots of the relevant sections if it is possible for you in your busy time? I would be really grateful.Thank you so much again.
