SubscriberHi, When attempting to simulate the external flow around a building using Ansys Discovery, I encountered the following questions: (1) I want to display contours of static pressure on the building faces only, but this does not seem to be possible with Ansys Discovery. (2) I want to display velocity vectors on a cut plane, but this does not seem to be possible with Ansys Discovery. As an alternative I used the "direction field". Can you please advise? Thanks.

Hi Eric,Â
For the first question, you could select in the countours settings: Location: All faces, Surface Display Priority: Inner and in this way you should be able to see the building faces.Â
For the second question, yes i do not think you can see vectors on a plane and yes direction field would probably be the closest option.Â
I hope this helps.Â
Best regards,
Nick

SubscriberThanks for your quick reply, Nick.
I tried your suggestion for my model, and I was able to successfully display the building pressure contours in EXPLORE mode (see below) but not in REFINE mode. In REFINE mode I do not get "inner" as a surface display priority (see second image).
I'm not sure what is the matter.

Ansys EmployeeHi Eric,Â
You are right, Inner surface results seem to only be available in explore at the moment. I will try to check if there is a workaround and let you know.Â
Best regards,
Nick
