Subscriberduring compression testing, the densification region is attained after the material is fully contact which each other whicg is shown in the figure below
For my sample the result is come as like mentioned below
I assigned isotropic elasticity and multilinear isotropis hardening as in engineering data .The nonlinear condition and friction is consider in my structure. Kindly help me regarding the densification region. During the densification region the material overlap one another and stress value increase during compression. but in my case it not show. what parameter i need to consider for densification region. kindly explain about that

Forum ModeratorHi Venkata,
You are getting the response as per the input multilinear isotropic hardening model. Was the data for the multilinear model obtained from compression testing?
The approach should be to get the stress-strain curve from compression testing and then input the same (may be hyperelastic response function) to get similar output results from simulation.

SubscriberThank for your reply. I assign plastic strain vs true stress after taking tensile test. Is that correct?

Forum ModeratorHi Venkata,
That is correct for the tensile region but do you expect the material to follow the same behavior in compression?

SubscriberI think that upto plateau region the result came correctly after overlapping over the material the densification occurs. But in my result densification result not showing. What shall I do. Or else i need to input uniaxial compression test result instead of multilinear isotropic hardening?

Forum ModeratorYes, I think that you will need the input uniaxial compression test data.
