SubscriberHi Fluent community,
per difinition the radiation temperature in Fluent is: T_rad = pow((q_incident / (4 * σ)), 0.25); q_incident is the integral of the intensity (I) over the solid angle (from 0 to 4π):
can i ask what is the reason behind it that the incdent radiation is divided by the factor of 4 to calculate the radiation temperature?

Forum ModeratorIt's defined here (radiation comes after rate - don't ask) https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/Secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v231/en/flu_ug/flu_ug_fvdefs.html Remember we're integrating over the whole solid (3d) angle.
