Can i use the especification method from neighboring cells in ansys 2021 r2 while using vof? If not, can somebody help me to create a UDF to mimic its behaviour?Â
I am able to use it in ansys 2022 r2, but I just have the student version of this and I would need to run in the university version too.

For the flow direction, yes, for the phase no. For the most part the UDF code will work with the more recent versions of Fluent, it'll just need to be recompiled.Â
Perhaps an explanation of what you're trying to do would help? The open channel boundary is often a good solution.Â

I am trying to model a slug flow using VOF, however I can not find the proper outlet condition. When gas hits the outlet I get a flow exception, because the velocity diverges. I guess it has something to do with operating density, but I am not sure how to procede, because I need to incorporate the diference of density in the profile using UDF?

What sorts of speeds are you seeing before it diverges?
