SubscriberHello guys,
My customer is experiencing problem where the user is assigned with trial license instead of real subscription license.Â
The customer bought 4 seat perpetual license, then their engineers make a new Discovery accounts and they probably applied for the trial version (Discovery Ultimate). When the IT department assigned a real subscription license (Discovery Essentials) to the users, the system automatically picks up the trial version instead of the subscription license. This pose a great deal of confusion on their part especially to their management when they saw the expiration date of one month. The IT department is being questioned by the management due to the listed expiration date which confused the management.Â
Is there any way to fix this issues. How to assigned real subscription license to user that already has trial. In this case they do not want to use trial license. The IT department need the fix urgently.
Thank you and Best Regards.

Ansys EmployeeHello achico
1.    Launch the Windows Command Prompt from the start menu in administrative mode.
2.    In the command prompt, type in:
cd C:Program FilesANSYS IncShared FilesLicensingwinx64
(this is the default installation directory of Discovery products. If you have installed it at a different location, enter the appropriate path where ansysls_client.exe is present)
3.    Once in that directory, run the following command:
ansysls_client.exe -DeactivateAllEntitlements
This command deactivates all the active licenses assigned to you.
4.  Next, activate the paid subscription license using following command:
ansysls_client.exe -ActivateLicenseEntitlementÂ
 In above command, replace
with your paid subscription activation id. You can find the activation id in the txt file that you receive or from your Discovery Account page under Manage Subscriptions section.
