SubscriberOur organization recently upgraded our cad workstations to workstation class laptops with 4K displays running Windows 10 Pro.
Here's the problem: When I run Discovery SpaceClaim or Discovery Live, once an assembly is loaded, the structure tree and it's icons are very small. The check boxes for visibility is microscopic. This is not a case of "Put on your readers". I've not seen any similar behavior in any of the other applications I use.
After working with resolution settings in the OS and finding no solution, looking in SpaceClaim options and finding no clues, I looked in the Discovery Forum and found references to the problem from a year ago, but no solutions offered at the time. I considered the problem may have been addressed in a new release, so I updated my Discover SpaceClaim to 2020 R1. Problem still not resolved. Now I ask for support help. =)
Any sage advice?
Thanks

I think there is a way to resolve this. I need to confer with a colleague and get back to you, but I believe it has something to do with the Advanced Scaling Settings in Windows.
You can search for this from the Windows Start Menu. The search will come up with "Fix apps that are blurry" if you search for "Advanced Scaling Settings".

SubscriberHi Brian,
Yes, problem solved.
For the record:
- Right-click the SpaceClaim desktop icon.
- Go to Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Click "Change high DPI settings."
- Check the “Override high DPI scaling behavior” box.
- Select the “System (Enhanced)” option that becomes available after checking the override checkbox. That resolved the microscopic visibility check boxes, but passing the cursor over the structure tree would white everything out, making things difficult. The tree wouldn't repaint until I moved the cursor off the structure tree window. I resolved this by selecting "System" rather than "System (Enhanced)" in the above solution.
Thanks much for your help =)
