SubscriberHi,
When creating screw, I always place origin under the head for standard screw and top of the head for countersunk screw.
When I insert this screw in an assembly, is there a way the move anchor be placed at the component origin instead of what I think is a kind of gravity center?
Thanks

SubscriberHello Francois , If I understood your query right, you are trying to move the triad to your desired location to move the body. You can do that, please refer to this documentation for better understanding and also refer to the video attached. You can just grab the triad and move it to the desired location, which you can select by selecting the surface (in your case the bold head surface/circular edge/ or a point or an axis which is already created). SubscriberHello Charudatta Bandgar
Thanks for your video. But this is exactly what I want to avoid, cause it's annoying to always do this for all components. So is there an option to automatically place the triad to the origin set in the screw component (head bottom in your video)?
Regards.

SubscriberI do not think that will be possible, Francois . The triad automatically goes to the centroid/CoG of the body, and it will not be possible to start with the triad being at the desired location as you are saying.
But this is exactly what I want to avoid, cause it's annoying to always do this for all components
That is understandable if there are multiple components. We thank you for sharing your feedback. We will share your idea/input with the product development team. Â
