Hi, our customer Kampmann is complaining that there are  no Mini-Thumbnail views of SpaceClaim files displayed in the Exporer of Windows any more with 2021R2. Is this a design change or just a set-up issue? Thank you for a suggestion and advice. Regards Wolfgang Geist ConWeb GmbH

The feature is not removed with the new release as far as I know, what could be happening in this situation is probably a result of the way Windows stores the value of the preview handler file. It can only store 1 value at a time, so usually it has the older version location stored. installing an update will no overwrite this. If the old version is then uninstalled, there will be not link to the thumbnail handler for the new installation. What I would suggest you is, if it is possible for you, uninstall the versions and install the latest SC version first.

Once in the old versions of SpaceClaim before 2021 it was possible to reset the preview value through the ThumbnailHandler.dll file, is it no longer possible to do this with the new versions?

One thing worth trying is to navigate to C:Program FilesSpaceClaim 2021 R1 and locate "thumbnailprovider.dll". Right click and go to Properties > Security . Click Edit, then select each group in the list and activate the Allow check box for Full Control. Repeat this for every group, then click Apply and OK. See if that can be possible.
